Barrow (Alaska)

Situated above 500km north Arctic Circle and 2000km south North Pole, Barrow is the most northern US city. With only a population about 4000, it’s so isolated: there aren’t any roads that connect with other cities, only plane and ship connections are possible with the mainly Alaskan cities, Anchorage and Fairbanks. Do you know about a far-off place like this?

Yeah, I know, this isn’t the paradise (at least for “normal” people)… But if you’re looking for peace, extreme conditions, finding yourself or feeling surrounded by the vacuum, it’s your dream’s place (and for me as well).

I imagine staying in a wood confortable house, with a warm light and heat leaving the hearth, reading a good book accompained by a hot chocolate… This would be heaven…!

Finally, I leave a trailer from one episode of the documentary series One Square Mile.

Enjoy it!
